In 1996, we founded West Side Rentals, the most trusted marketplace for connecting landlords and renters in Southern California. Our ability to hire strong leaders, anticipate the changing marketplace, adopt new technologies at the right time, and manage a large diverse workforce played an important role in its success and we have continued that same disposition within every one of our investments.
The hotel group includes the Ocean Park Hotel, Venice on the Beach, Hotel Hollywood, and most recently, the historic American Hotel in the booming Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles.
We partner with Cedd Moses in owning Pouring with Heart, —formerly known as 213 Hospitality— aiming to revive Downtown LA through original bar and brewery concepts along with the restoration of neighborhood bar staples while cultivating communities and careers.
Ventures include Cole’s, Casey’s, Las Perlas, Cana, Seven Grand, and The Varnish, et al, built in the bones of Historic Downtown’s classic architecture.
In early November 2016, we opened Margo’s, a hyper-seasonal kitchen and bar on the eastern edge of Montana Avenue. Margo’s serves Modern California cuisine crafted by Executive Chef Greg A. Daniels, former Executive Chef at Salt Air on Abbott Kinney in Venice and Sous Chef at Perry Street in NYC, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s celebrated west village ode to clean cuisine. Beverage Director and Lead Barman Jordan Delp constructed Margo’s bar program, featuring classic cocktails and house originals crafted from a prized collection of top shelf small batch spirits, craft beer taps, and small production wines.
Our New American restaurant and wine bar, Art’s Table, located on Montana Avenue and 10th, debuted in 2014. Art’s rustic-meets-modern menus and guests-first philosophy draw neighborhood crowds and appreciative palates in one of the Los Angeles’ most food-and-fitness conscious coastal communities.
Ashland Hill, with their buzzing craft beer & wine garden on Main Street in Santa Monica’s historic Ocean Park neighborhood, launched in 2015 with partner Luke Tabit, featuring delectable seasonal dishes and gourmet bar bites. It introduced a Gin & Tonic bar program, crafted by Master Barman Vincenzo Marianella — and transforms fast casual ordering to table service.
The OP Café is the beloved family diner and homage to the early heroes of the Santa Monica Lifeguard Service on Ocean Park Boulevard and 32nd—known for its classic American breakfast, lunch fare, and friendly service.
The Shore Bar on Channel Road in Pacific Palisades, a partnership with the h.wood.group, round out our family hospitality holdings while we continue to look for opportunities to establish new concepts and expand our hospitality footprint in Santa Monica and borders beyond.
